NOW is pleased to present its signature Rep Scenes Project, Opera Untapped. This semester, our focus of the scenes is women in opera, a nod to Barnard's 125th anniversary. With a diverse selection of repertoire and styles from Mozart to Schubert and Poulenc, our all-female cast plays everything from noblewomen to nuns and prostitutes (not to mention the occasional man and witch). Opera Untapped will run for three performances:

Keeping to our namesake, we will present new works by Columbia composers and librettists in workshop settings throughout the school year. In addition, we will feature special events, such as discussions and master classes, in collaboration with CU groups and NYC opera companies.
